Description of self-cleaning filters
The range of self-cleaning filters in use is composed of three main groups of filter types.
- 3rd group :
Filters having the "IN" and "OUT" ports of 5 "to 10" diameter included. The filter element is composed of 3 equidistant columns each receiving 2 or 3 superimposed bobbins, ie 6 to 9 bobbins (diameter of the bobbin = 125 mm, and length = 315 mm).
In each group, 2 types of filters stand out by the cleaning action mode.
In-service, the cleaning is achieved by rotating of the filter bobbin. This rotation is either a manual action using an irreversible ratchet key as soon as the clogging is read on the manometer (SM version) or an electric gear motor and (type SA).
Choice of filter type
This choice is subordinated to the sediment content of the fluid to be filter. Type SA will be preferred for a highly charged liquid, which requires more frequent cleaning.
Type SM for liquids with a concentration such that 1 or 2 daily cleanings would be sufficient.
Finally, the type SA is better suited to the process or the installations that must operate alone, without the continuous monitoring of a person (reduction of maintenance costs).
The filters are built to meet the following essential requirements :
The nature of the fluid
The service pressure
The viscosity of the product
The filtration degree envisaged
The filter medium, or filter bobbin, fitted to our self-cleaning filters has the advantage of being rewindable.
Your reels are totally clogged despite the cleaning or purging done, we re-machined and thus change the triangular wire that winding them. It is quite possible to modify, according to your need, the initial filtration degree.
Our bobbin, as well as the constituent parts, do not undergo any radial or longitudinal deformation, despite sometimes high service pressures.
The flow direction of the fluid is from the outside to the inside of the bobbin. Scrapers tangent to the generator of the bobbin provide unclogging and, as planes, scrape sediment agglomerated on the outside of the bobbin.
Scapers causes the sediments to fall into the bottom of the vessel by gravity. So just generate the purge operation to continue your production.
The advantage of the triangular thread
1. Coupled with the scraper, it prevents the accumulation of sediments and operates a rapid declogging
2. The filtration degree is kept constant, including during a rise in pressure and temperature
3. The pressure loss generated is low
4. Its mechanical strength is excellent
Schematization of the functioning
The complete filter element represents the filter in its entirety, without the vessel.
It is composed of the filter cover on which are fixed all the filtering organs (bobbin, scrapers, etc.).
